Golden Sunset Wedding at Kukio Beach, Hawai'i
Hershey and Michael traveled from Alaska to celebrate their wedding on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii on December 2nd, 2022. They were surrounded by their closest family, including their son, parents on both sides, and Michael's daughter with her boyfriend.
The ceremony, officiated by Deanna from Kona Wedding Officiant, was a beautiful and intimate event. Hershey's carefully prepared vows added a touch of solemnity to the ceremony.
As a Kona wedding photographer, I feel honored to be a part of such special moments. I approach each wedding as if I were a guest, capturing the love and happiness that surrounds the couple and their families.
The ceremony took place at Kukio Beach, a secluded and popular location for weddings next to the luxurious Hualalai Four Seasons resort. Kukio Beach is a photographer's paradise, and one of my personal favorites for capturing beach weddings and elopements. The natural beauty of the location is unparalleled, and it is also equipped with all the necessary amenities one could expect. However, it's important to note that Kukio Beach is often a secluded spot, and not ideal for swimming unless you're familiar with the area. This added privacy makes it the perfect location for couples who desire an intimate and exclusive experience on their special day.
The golden hour before sunset was particularly spectacular, with the sky saturated with vibrant yellow tones and the gentle waves of liquid gold unfolding on the sand. The ambient light created a warm and cinematic atmosphere, perfectly complementing the yellow theme that was present throughout the occasion.
Hershey and Michael laughed and shared joyous moments with their family, making for a perfect day filled with love and happiness. As a photographer, it is an honor to be able to capture and tell their story.
